Ammonite

 Ammonite

Ammonite is a historical drama set in 1840s England, inspired by the life of fossil hunter Mary Anning. The film follows Mary, who lives a quiet, solitary life by the sea, as she’s reluctantly tasked with caring for Charlotte, a young woman recovering from personal loss. As the two women spend time together, a deep emotional and romantic connection forms between them. Against the backdrop of class constraints and societal expectations, Ammonite explores themes of longing, intimacy, and the quiet power of love that defies convention.
